Punta Gorda Points of Interest
At The Estates on Peace River you'll find an escape from the rush of city life, yet be close
enough to the cultural, entertainment and financial institutions of Sarasota, Fort Myers and
surrounding areas. But with all there is to enjoy in Charlotte County, it’ll be hard to find
reasons to voyage very far. Fine dining and shopping are mere minutes away, and the boating
lifestyle is right out your backdoor.
Punta Gorda, known for its great fishing, large harbor, and quaint historic downtown district with
excellent dining and shopping, is also home to Fisherman’s Village, located on the Charlotte Harbor.
This marina, resort, and waterfront mall is a local and visitor favorite.
Celebrating its 40th year, the Visual Arts Center of Punta Gorda not only displays the talent of local artists, it also provides instructional classes, programs, workshops, lectures, open studio of life drawing and portraits, and demonstrations for artists of all ages and stages.
Punta Gorda is also home to many public parks for all sports and hobbies including fishing, horseback riding, bocci ball, tennis, biking, and so much more.
